Children’s Presumptive Eligibility (CPE)

The Children’s Presumptive Eligibility (CPE) program is a temporary coverage initiative that provides immediate, full-scope health coverage to eligible children in California. This program aims to ensure that children have access to necessary health services while their Medi-Cal applications are being processed.

Family PACT

A program that provides no-cost family planning services to low-income men and women, including teens. Women, men, and teens able to become pregnant or cause a pregnancy can get Family PACT services if they are low-income California residents. You may qualify for Family PACT:

• If you have no medical insurance or can’t get Medi-Cal.
• If you have insurance, but it doesn’t cover family planning or birth control methods
• If you have insurance, but you haven’t met your deductible.
• If you have Medi-Cal with Share of Cost but you have not met your Share of Cost.
• If you have Medi-Cal but it doesn’t cover family planning.
• If you have insurance or Medi-Cal, but you need to keep family planning services confidential

Presumptive Eligibility (PE)

This Program allows CFFHAE to grant immediate, temporary Medi-Cal coverage for ambulatory prenatal care and prescription drugs for conditions related to pregnancy to low-income, pregnant patients, pending their formal Medi-Cal application. The PE for pregnant women program is designed for low-income California residents who believe they are pregnant and who do not have health insurance or Medi-Cal coverage for prenatal care.

Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) provides a wide range of culturally competent services to Medi-Cal pregnant women, from conception through 60 days postpartum. In addition to standard obstetric services, women receive enhanced services in the areas of nutrition, psychosocial and health education.

Covered California

Covered California is a state-run program designed to make it easier and more affordable for Californians to obtain high-quality health insurance. The program ensures that coverage cannot be canceled or denied due to pre-existing medical conditions or if you become sick. Legal residents of California are eligible to purchase health coverage through this marketplace.

• Online and In-Person Access: Health insurance can be shopped for online, in person, or by phone. The Covered California website offers various tools to help you compare Qualified Health Plans, making it easier to find a plan that meets your needs.
• Financial Assistance: Covered California is the exclusive platform where you can access federal financial assistance to reduce healthcare costs. Recent legislative changes have increased financial help for many members, enhancing affordability.
• Plan Comparisons: The platform enables “apples-to-apples” comparisons of health insurance plans, ensuring transparency and helping you make informed decisions.

By purchasing insurance through Covered California, you benefit from new standards for health coverage and have access to various support services available both in person and by phone.

Sliding Fee Program

Center for Family Health and Education, Inc. (CFHE) utilizes sliding fee schedules to ensure that all patients have access to care regardless of their ability to pay. Sliding fee discount applies to ALL patients and only criteria to qualify is income and family size.

If you have insurance or are enrolled in a public health program, your out of pocket cost can be as low as $0.
